One-Liner Wednesday: We The People

“America is not the project of any one person. Because the single most powerful word in our democracy is the word ‘We.’ ‘We The People.’ ‘We Shall Overcome.’ ‘Yes, We Can.’”

— Barack Obama

I hardly ever watch the news, because it’s so toxic, but I’ve seen and heard glimpses of hope in the reminders that there are three branches of government which provide checks and balances, just like we learned in elementary school.

One-Liner Wednesday is brought to us by Linda Hill at:

Here are the rules which are not always strictly followed:

1. Make it one sentence.

One-Liner Wednesday: Farewell President Obama

“…for all our outward differences, we, in fact, all share the same proud title, the most important office in a democracy: Citizen.” __President Barack Obama

I will miss Barack and Michelle Obama. I will miss their dignity, their intelligence, and their grace under pressure. But I have a feeling we’ll see more of them.  That gives me hope.
