I hardly ever watch the news, because it’s so toxic, but I’ve seen and heard glimpses of hope in the reminders that there are three branches of government which provide checks and balances, just like we learned in elementary school.

Well, two of the three branches of government are working, anyway. The legislative one seems to be occupied with people only interested in drawing a paycheck and getting re-elected. Problem is, their job is as important, if not more so.
Yes, their job is important, more so than most of them realize, to more people than they realize. I am hoping for a miraculous evolution in awareness.
